Dear Friends of CMS,
We are excited to have welcomed so many new students to CMS over the last few months!
As we celebrate 40 years of excellence in music education at CMS, in-person and online private students continue to increase, Kindermusik has expanded to two weekly classes, and we have a waiting list. Our Intro to Recording Class students are learning how to record, edit and publish their own music in our new recording studio. In March, we also welcomed our newest faculty member, Dr. Andrew O’Connor. Andrew is an accomplished bassist who earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Double Bass Performance at the Eastman School of Music.
For the safety of our students, we encourage everyone to wear face masks while in the building, but we no longer require masks, except as outlined in our Health & Safety Plan.
Spring is always a busy time at CMS. This year is especially busy with the return of our in-person Gala Auditions, Piano Achievement Evaluations, and “Year-End” Recital in West Park. We encourage all our students to take advantage of these important evaluation and performance opportunities.
I invite you to celebrate our 40th “Ruby” Anniversary at our annual Spring Brunch & Silent Auction, at Lehigh Country Club on Sunday, June 12, from 12-3 PM. New this year, we will bring our Gala Recital to the Brunch and feature our most accomplished young musicians.
