Dear CMS Friends:
Happy Summer! Here at Community Music School, we’ve had a busy spring and summer as we continue to celebrate 40 years of excellence in music education at CMS. We enjoyed seeing many of you in person at our 40th Anniversary Spring Brunch & Silent Auction at Lehigh Country Club on June 12. I thank everyone who attended and supported this important fundraiser; it was a great success and raised over $30,000 to support our scholarship program.
Summer is now in full swing! We are excited to welcome several new teachers and so many new students for in-person lessons. Our building is filled with young summer camp attendees, including middle schoolers at City Arts Camp, a week-long introduction to art, music, theater, and dance that is produced through a longtime partnership of six Allentown arts organizations and hosted at CMS. CMS is also proudly partnering with the Fine Feather Foundation to provide group classes in piano, guitar, violin, and recording/production to their Allentown summer campers. We look forward to offering our new “Intro to Violin” Camp and “CMS House Band” Camp programs in August. There is still time to sign up for these camps – see below!
