In accordance with the state mandate that all K-12 schools close through the end of the school year due to COVID-19, the CMS building will remain closed until the mandates are lifted. During this time, we will continue operating remotely, offering online lessons to current students, and accepting new students on a limited basis.
Using the TeacherZone and Google Meet platforms, CMS made the transition to online-only lessons very quickly. We are thrilled to report that over 70% of our students and 100% of our faculty embraced the challenge of “going online.” We applaud all our students who have embraced virtual lessons and want to continue their musical progress during these challenging times. Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to provide additional financial aid to students whose families had their income reduced due to COVID-19-related layoffs.
