Dear Friends,

The 40th “back-to-school” season at CMS has been a very busy one!  In September, we welcomed 38 new students for individual lessons, relaunched our performance ensembles, and expanded our group classes. Our Kids Choir is already full, but we are still adding students to our ensembles, including Modern Band, House Band, and Big Band. We added a Program Coordinator, Kelly Hooper to our team to expand our group class portfolio and to develop fresh classes & events.

We kicked off fall at Art in the Park in Allentown’s West Park on September 17.  I thank  all our students and teachers for their wonderful performances. I  hope that you can attend our upcoming recitals and special events!

CMS continues to operate on a hybrid education model, with about 70% of our students attending in-person lessons in Allentown and Reading, and 30% continuing online-only lessons from home.  As we enter the winter months, the Health & Safety Committee of our Board and I  will continue to monitor the Covid risks and update our Health & Safety Plan accordingly.

Please scroll down to learn more about recent and future events at CMS. We hope to see you at our first Open Mic Night this Friday, October 14 and at our Monster Concert on October 30!

Now, as we welcome more students and fund more financial aid and scholarships, CMS needs your financial support. Thank you for making a generous donation to support our good work!

With gratitude,

Jeff Reed, Executive Director
