Allentown, PA (July 28, 2026) – Community Music School – Lehigh Valley & Berks (CMS) is pleased to announce that Joey Osisek, Director of Product Management, Instruments for C.F. Martin & Co. was elected to a three-year term on the CMS Board of Directors by a unanimous vote on June 15, 2026. Osisek will serve a three-year term with the 44-year-old Allentown nonprofit that provides the access and inspiration for anyone in our diverse community to achieve excellence in music education and appreciate the transformative power of music.
Osisek says, “When the Martin Guitar Charitable Foundation circulated a list of opportunities to serve on a board of directors for a few non-profits in the valley, and I researched CMS, something spoke to me. I was fortunate enough to catch the tail end of a Modern Band Ensemble class. My heart wanted to explode for these kids, and the gift of music and community that school and teachers are providing.”
Joey Osisek, better known as “Joey O,” has spent the last 37 years making music and building a career in the musical instrument industry. Born in Orlando, Florida, he began playing guitar at 12 and joined his first professional band at 15. His first “day job” was at Ace Music Center, followed by Thoroughbred Music, where he helped open the company’s Orlando location and, eventually, its Nashville location. In Nashville, Osisek joined Gibson Guitars in a business development role before transitioning into sales and marketing support, working closely with manufacturing, product development, artist relations, and experiential marketing. His career then took him to Southern California, where he managed product, sales, and artist relations for GMP Guitars. He later returned to Gibson as Global Director of Channel Marketing, assembling a team of product specialists across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. He spent his final chapter at Gibson in the Entertainment Relations department, working with artists and global teams on product placements in TV and film. In the summer of 2010, he launched a consulting business and worked with brands such as Marshall, Washburn, Hagstrom, Breedlove, Dunlop, and others. He then joined Dunlop, for a five-year stretch managing artist relations, product development, portions of sales, and the opening of a Nashville showroom. Today, Joey serves as Martin’s Director of Product Management and sits on the company’s Senior Leadership Team. In 2026, he plans to release another record, continue performing live, and seek out artists in the Lehigh Valley to produce.
In June, the board also voted to re-elect Michael Yeager as Board President and Mark Stein as Board Secretary. John Wittenbraker will continue his term as Vice President and Tom Fenstermacher will continue his term as Treasurer. Board members Kathy Matthews, Mary Hahn, and Tom Fenstermacher were also re-elected for additional 3-year terms.
