We applaud all of our students who prepared and participated in this year’s Gala Auditions.  After a two-year hiatus during the Covid pandemic, it was wonderful to have so many students participate in the auditions, in-person!  On May 14, three independent judges evaluated each student’s musical performances in the categories of tone, technique, accuracy, interpretation, and musical effect appropriate for their level of study.  These students scored highest in the auditions and received merit scholarships to continue their music study at CMS during the 2022-2023 year:

Muriel I. Frank Scholarship   Jenna John, piano

Jerome & Martha Markowitz Scholarship   Isaac Sharma, flute

Joseph Maletz Scholarship   Maanya Gope, voice

Great Expectations Scholarship   Shira Bach, piano
