Please join us in celebrating the remarkable career of our beloved flute instructor, Elaine Martin, who retired from teaching at CMS on June 30, 2026. Since 2014, Elaine has inspired CMS students through excellent musicianship, dedicated teaching, and unwavering encouragement. Countless young flutists have grown in their talent and lifelong appreciation for music under her guidance. Over the last 11 years, in addition to teaching private lessons, Elaine has led our flute choir, performed for numerous CMS fundraisers, helped with musical instrument petting zoos, and introduced hundreds of Allentown children to woodwinds with the Flutophone through the City Arts Camp and ASD in-school outreach programs. Beyond lessons and performances, Elaine has been a valued member of our school community, sharing a passion for excellence and helping shape generations of musicians.

In my retirement, I am looking forward to more time with my kids and grandchildren, some volunteer opportunities and some travel. I am thankful for my years at CMS. They have been a blessing in my life”.
