We are excited to announce that CMS student Rene Kim was recently accepted into the PYO Music Institute. PYO Music Institute is the tri-state region’s premier youth orchestra organization for gifted, young, classical musicians, and is one of the oldest and most highly regarded youth orchestra organizations in the United States. Regular sectional coaching and challenging standard classical music repertoire makes YMDO an ideal next step for students progressing into advanced symphony orchestra programs.
Rene is a 7th grade student in Springhouse Middle School and the Concert Master of the Springhouse Middle School Honors Orchestra. Throughout her six years of playing the violin, she has strived to make a mark on the musical world and be a part of a wonderful orchestra.
Rene’s family says, “Participating in PYO-YMDO for the 2026-2027 school year is an indescribable honor for Rene. She truly could not have completed this extraordinary feat without her CMS teacher, Carolyn Gaul, for guiding her step-by-step through all of her audition components and everyone she knows who has influenced her love for violin and music”.
