We are pleased to announce that Laurel Nolin has joined our piano faculty. Laurel holds a Master of Arts Administration (M.A.A.) with a concentration in Music Leadership from Ohio University (Athens, OH) and double major from Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL) with a B.M. in Piano Performance and a B.M. in Piano Pedagogy.
She recently completed an internship with the Lehigh Valley Arts & Cultural Alliance (LVACA) where she created visual interpretations, moving maps, and insightful graphics to interpret, translate, and share robust data from the Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 (AEP6) study. AEP6 is the sixth national study of the economic impact of the nonprofit arts and culture industry conducted by Americans for the Arts.
Laurel is also certified in several Musikgarten classes and will be teaching our Intro to Piano classes this fall. She has performed as a soloist with the Ohio University Symphony Orchestra and masterclasses. In her teaching, Laurel draws on her experience in piano performance, music pedagogy and community music-making to create engaging learning experiences for all students, from beginner to advanced level.
