Intro to Piano

Explore the piano with us!

Students will learn instrument-specific skills, such as navigating the whole range of the keyboard, creating a variety of sounds on the keys, coordinating both hands, and maintaining healthy technique. These activities are grounded in group activities that develop holistic musicianship, such as keeping a musical heartbeat, moving the whole body to music, echoing back patterns with the voice, and working together as a creative team. Our last class will include a showcase for family and friends to celebrate students’ progress. 

Students must have a keyboard or piano at home to practice between classes.  Learn more about instrument rentals.
