CMS student Laina Roque Hernandez (pictured far right) was nominated to participate in the PMEA District 10 Elementary Orchestra Fest that was held on Tuesday, May 13. Laina is in 5th grade at Sheridan Elementary, in the Allentown School District. Laina began private lessons in violin with Sunny Murthy in August of 2024. The Fest is open to 5th and 6th grade students in at least their second year of playing. Sunny says “I started teaching Laina this school year. She is an enthusiastic violin student, a beautiful singer, and a very polite young lady. I truly enjoy teaching her!”
The Fest was held at Notre Dame High School, with our own CMS teacher Chris Klump as the host director. The Guest Orchestra Conductor was Douglas Bolasky. Learn more about PMEA District 10 Elementary Fests.
