It was a rainy day full of art, music, and fun at the Lehigh Valley Arts & Cultural Alliance 2024 Young at Art Expo on Saturday, March 9, at Penn State Lehigh Valley. Our musical instrument petting zoo volunteers helped dozens of children (and adults) try out a variety of instruments and shared information about CMS lessons and summer camps. CMS students Kylie, Solomon, Ceiran, and Maanya performed a mix of classical and contemporary music in a mini-student showcase for the enthusiastic crowd. The performances were followed by an interactive demonstration, led by our Program Coordinator, Kelly Hooper. She taught a lively group to play and sing “You Are My Sunshine” on the ukulele. We thank our volunteers Lily, Adrienne, Solomon, Ceiran, Auden, Stephanie, and Bob for their help spreading the word about all the fun musical opportunities here at CMS!
