A painting by Russian artist Ivan Zolotukhin was on display in the Judith Ruhe Diehl Entrance Hall at CMS during the donor reception that was held on Friday, November 10. The 2020 oil on canvas piece, entitled “Piano and the Bouquet of Lilacs” (Пианино и букет сирени) was on loan from CMS parent, Liliana Judge (pictured here (left) with CMS Executive Director Jeff Reed.

Ivan Zolotukhin is an accomplished, academically trained artist whose oil paintings have been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe, Asia, and the United States. His works of art can be found in private collections worldwide, including in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Turkey, Eastern Europe, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.
Ivan A. Zolotukhin (Иван Алексеевич Золотухин) was born on December 11, 1962, in the city of Balakovo, located on the East bank of the Volga River. The artist’s journey began in 1986 when he graduated from the Saratov Art College. Ivan’s passion for art led him to further his education at the prestigious State Academic Art Institute, named after V. I. Surikov, located in Moscow. Ivan had the honor of training in the renowned studio of academician artist Vyacheslav Zabelin. Ivan was known to be Zabelin’s most talented student of his time. The artist’s work was recognized with a venerated award from the Ministry of Culture of Russia. Ivan has also earned a well-deserved admission into the Union of Artists, marking a significant milestone in his artistic career.
Ivan enjoys listening to and playing music. He also finds inspiration for his artwork in music. His wife, Rita, plays the piano, and his son, Anton, plays the violin. Currently, Ivan Zolotukhin lives and paints his captivating artwork in his hometown of Balakovo.
