2:00 PM & 4:00 PM
Dorothy H. Baker Recital Hall
at Community Music School
Performing in front of a live audience is an important part of each CMS student’s growth and development. We encourage students of all ages and abilities to perform in recitals when they are ready, with approval from their teacher. As always, CMS recitals are free for students to perform and for the public to attend; however, CMS is a nonprofit organization and there is substantial cost associated with producing these events. If you are able, please consider making a charitable donation to help support our mission here.
Sunday, December 10, was a festive afternoon full of holiday spirit in the Dorothy H. Baker Recital Hall here at CMS. Because so many students wanted to perform, we divided and presented our annual Holiday Recital in two “acts,” at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Over 80 students performed, along with several ensembles: Kids Choir, Modern Band, and a saxophone quartet. Performing in front of a live audience is an important part of the Community Music School experience and is key to becoming a well-rounded musician. We thank everyone who came out to support our students and celebrate the season with an afternoon of music!
