Four CMS students who enrolled in our pop-up Music and Film class had their short films accepted into the inaugural Allentown Film Festival, which was held April 13-16, 2023. Under the direction of our resident sound engineer, Joe Wagner, these students learned the basics of composing and recording film scores using the state-of-the-art audio and video recording studio at CMS.
The following CMS student films had their world premieres at “The Family Films & K-12 Student Shorts Competition Finalists” section of the Festival, at 5:30 PM on Friday, April 14, at the 19th Street Theatre, 527 North 19th Street in Allentown:

The Festival’s judges awarded Caleb Diaz a $100 cash prize for his excellent entry, On Cloud Nine. Caleb attends Parkland High School, and he and his friends created the footage during a class trip to California. Be sure to click on the link to check out the film.
