Dear Friends of CMS,
As you may have heard, Community Music School is thriving this school year. Since we reopened our building for in-person music lessons and ensembles, we have more than doubled our student enrollment, from 159 to 337. Our base of students from low to moderate income families, who need financial aid to enroll, is up 115%. We are thrilled to increase the impact of our unique mission across the Lehigh Valley, with a focus on urban youth from Allentown. We have met this strong demand so far, but we also need your help. As you can see in this newsletter, CMS has many new teachers, initiatives, and programs.
In 2023 we are taking a “pause” on our traditional Spring Brunch and Silent Auction fundraiser. Instead, we encourage you to attend one or all of our upcoming spring season recitals and our Faculty Showcase. You will enjoy lovely music and support our talented students and faculty. Even though we are not having our Brunch fundraiser, we hope that you will still make a much-needed gift to support CMS programming and financial aid.
